| Find
your feelings of passion and commitment to the game. It's
simple, though maybe not easy, to take the fears that are
sidetracking you down a road of habitual withdrawal, disappointment
and resentment and turn them into dogged commitment to playing
full out and loving the experience of just being in the game.
I will tell you one thing, when you're fully involved in the
game -- you're too "in the present" to be feeling
fear and worry. It's at this time that your head will clear,
and your path be made obvious.
Unfortunately too many people are busy worrying
and making up stories that would be better suited for a
Stephen King novel. They are so busy worrying; they are
unable to seize opportunities and really live. I think that's
why we so enjoy it when our literary hero rises like the
Phoenix from what appears to be the ashes of disaster with
renewed spirit and ultimately triumphs. This re-birth from
our mind's fabricated "death" not only rejuvenates
us, but it also transforms us in miraculous ways. We become
our dreams . . . when we live out our dream.
Some
of you may be familiar with the quote "why do you look
for the living amongst the dead?" I would say, "why
do you look for your dreams amongst your fears?" You
will not experience much in the way of the miraculous when
you spend time with the mundane rhetoric of your reasons
and resistance. Laugh in the face of the thoughts that draw
you back from pursuing your ideals. Master your thoughts
and emotions, and you will find life an exhilarating game
- a game where the win comes every moment that you're playing.
