"I
recently returned from a two-week trip to China with three
girlfriends. The trip was booked through a travel tour company;
it was not a Productive Learning & Leisure travel course.
While much of what I saw and experienced was wonderful,
there were other parts of the trip that I could definitely
have lived without. I learned on Day 1 why I pay a little
extra to travel with PL&L. This tour group was big.
There was lots of lost time waiting around to get everyone
gathered up to board buses etc. As we encounter in life,
some people had no regard for timeliness, and we were all
at their mercy. Many of the travelers were not having fun,
and they made sure we all knew about it. The complaining
and bickering was a complete downer. My traveling with PL&L
has been such a different experience. I have found the learning
vacations I've taken to be so much richer and valuable.
The positive people who choose to learn and travel with
PL&L have a like-minded purpose in mind. As the old
saying goes, "You definitely get what you pay for."
What a difference! I will have to think long and hard before
I ever put myself into this type of situation again, if
ever. Lesson learned."

The
Control course was a smashing success. As usual, you and
Lindon designed a course that was superb. Like the Rogue
River, with its changing complexion of flat waters, ripples,
eddies, and challenging rapids, the workshop processes had
their own ever-changing qualities that kept all of us on
our toes and involved. I truly had fun while experiencing
first-hand how I work in a team situation and developing
clear, concise, and workable strategies to improve my performance
in both leadership and team member position.
Three
weeks after the course, I did a small private raft trip
in Montana. Both rivers and rafting companies were fairly
comparable. What might interest you is how much more enjoyable
Productive Learning & Leisure made the Rogue River trip.
Your attention to the "creature comforts" was
one of the big differences. Transportation was prearranged
and prepaid. Group meals at the lodge were paid for by Productive
Learning & Leisure, and hence, could enjoy conversations
and not have the "calculator worries" over who
owed what for a meal. You get the picture.
The
other big difference was the course itself, which provided
the glue that held us all together. Right from the start
of the first session, a real sense of camaraderie developed
and grew as the trip progressed. It was a pleasure being
with like-minded people who were interested in improving
the quality of our lives. Thanks again and I'm looking forward
to next year!
